Wow some old kit there including the mk1 Atki with the crane on the back.

Wonderful pictures - thanks for posting them.
If any one is particularly interested in timber extraction and haulage I thoroughly recommend the books written by the late Maurice Sanders
Stories of Round Timber Haulage
Wood WurliTzer & Wesley
Giants of Timber Transport
Men mud and Machines
All packed with wonderful photographs and stories of the UK timber scene.
Also the American book Endless Tracks in the Woods - packed with black and white pictures of timber extraction and transport equipment with a chapter or two of earthmoving kit thrown in!
