Breakfast time at the World Ploughing Championships held at Crockey Hill just south of York. Its an atmospheric shot and anyone who hung their washing out to dry down wind would be severely disappointed.

burning yesterday evening I was busy on the tractor so the Princess went down with the contractors to fire up a block of cane I stopped for a minute and grabbed some photo's

Many in the arable farming community would love to stubble burn again, just say blackgrass. But cant see it happening as social media would kill us and it was banned for two reasons in the same year. A fatal road traffic accident caused by smoke from a burn and Pilots complaining they couldn't see the runway at Stantsead.

These fires are a bit different than a stubble fire very little smoke and its all burnt in a matter of minutes people used to rake the tops and burn them after woulds that would be huge amounts of smoke but not many any more burning tops

Okay not many entries this month but here goes; I had not forgotten either just had computer woes with my home pc!
