SRB wrote:A company called Powerbetter used to run a couple of Cat RM-350 (i think, memory is failing me) were a good overtime generator! Used a 950 axle to drive the rotor through chain boxes, Biffa also had a smaller one, SS-250 which used to float around the midlands..... Happy days....

Nice pics, keep them coming!

Not my entry this month ( taken years ago) - reference SRB mention of the CAT RM-350. I think this was the company you mention.

Okay here's a couple from me; the first is one of only 400 ERF trucks of this type made, it is a four wheel flat bed and this has since had a "beavertail" back end fitted, it's powered by a Gardner 6LXB engine but has it's six speed David Brown gearbox remotely fitted in the centre of the chassis, an Eaton two speed axle completes the driveline.
The second shot taken today was one of two elderly machines being used on a demolition job, the one an old Daewoo and this one an Atlas 1504 which was being used with a hammer to break up some concrete.

He's one from me - driving under the boom of a 90 yard stripping shovel. Not something I thought I'd ever do so quite an experience!
