I have a childhood memory of walking along what was the old A41 from Wednesbury up to Hill Top where my parents house was and this Commer Maxi-load truck came past climbing the hill at a fraction faster than walking pace, its TS3 engine screaming away, must say it sounded fantastic, but as in the video above, I would not say that it was quiet.

TBH I have never ridden in the 2 stroke Commer, only one with a 6.354. There were a few 4 wheeler Commer tippers about when I was kid but I would have guessed the Dodge K500 with the tilt cab and Perkins was a better vehicle. Dad had the latter from 66 to 69 and was a big jump in comfort from the LAD 300.
