I thought he had died years ago until reading the article. He has lost his son, also Edward, in 2011 when the younger Edward was heading the business. Amazing story of entrepreneurship.

I thought so too. Always liked their lorries, I don't remember seeing them having a Thames Trader, but maybe they did as I seem to see models of one all the time.
