HP32 is standard for most of these older 3C units and matches the HLP 32 spec perfectly. I’ve been using a generic ISO 32 hydraulic oil in mine for years without any issues; as long as it’s a high-quality anti-wear fluid, the pump stays happy. The "Special" branding in the old manuals is usually just a way to keep you buying from the dealer, but any reputable 32 weight oil will do the job just fine.

I think that probably an ISO 46 might be better in a old system with wear. I always keep a barrel of 46, goes in all the owd tat that I have.

I would agree with that, especially as the real stuff was ISO 46, with all parts designed for that.
