I've checked the MF website in the history section and this machine was a very popular introduction to their backhoe line-up in the early 1970's but does anyone have a production start/stop date range for the model 50B?
Best regards
Gavin

I don't even have a brochure for the 50C model, that might've been helpful for getting some idea for a date range.

That would tie in quite nicely why I've been unable to find any pictures of the 50C with a sideshift backhoe mount; only fixed pivot ones so far. MF's "Our Heritage" does mention the 50D machine in the 80's section but gives no dates as to when production started. There's a 50D on MarketBook.co.uk at the moment, year of build being 1983.

Located in Cumbria (just in case anyone is interested), £2450. Hope it goes to a good home.

I might be wrong but before the 50B was there not a MF 50. It had a nice cab on it and a different grill.

So what was the difference between a 50 and a 3303? I have a feeling the 50B to D crossover would have been close in time to the 3C to 3CX change.

Re: MF 50B; production period?
I am pretty sure the 50B ran from 1973 through to 1982/3 from about 1981 the 50B mk2 model came out which had the all yellow cab and also had options of extending dipper and 4wd the 3303 was the fore runner to the MF50 and to look at did not look much different they both had non rusting fibreglass cabs i have brochures on all of these models. The 50D came out around 1982/3 then the 50d Elite which had black chevrons on the doors and along the sides of the top part of the cab was introduced, and then the 50HX came along, in around 1987 the new 50HX series S came out followed by the series T which ran to around 1992 when the 760, 860 & 960 models started to appear.
