Hi, I'm looking for some parts for a rear window frame on a 1982 JCB 3CX. I've checked on the parts book in the downloads section and can see see the relevant parts but I'm not sure of sources?
It's the rollers and spindles that I need if anyone can help?

Vicary Plant is probably your best bet, or if you're handy with the tools, I could always measure mine up so you could make up your own

Hi Slooby, if you could measure them that would be great. I could knock something up on the lathe at work.

No problem, I'll try and get to them in the next couple of days with a vernier and let you know the dimensions

Also material would be handy to know, I was thinking of using plastic for the rollers.

Re: 1982 3CX Rear Window Frame Parts
The rollers are made from a hard white plastic, not entirely sure what it is though, certainly not delrin, nylon or polyethylene. I'd suggest using 1000 grade high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPe) myself, but then I have a ready supply of 500 grade offcuts littering up the place!
Sorry I've not got any dimensions for you yet, I had my son over the weekend and everytime I thought I could catch a moment to take them he made a run for it and I had to go of after him, he is only 2 and can't exactly be left to free roam round here without falling into a ditch/nettle bed/electric fence etc...

Ok, I'll see what I can lay my hands on. No worries about that, I'm away with work for a while so wont be able to fit them until I'm home, although I'll need to make them here.

Ok, got some dimensions for you:
The Roller is 34mm outside diameter and 11mm thick
There is a spacer between it and the mounting bracket on the window frame that is 3.5mm thick and 20 mm outside diamter
The shaft itself is 12.5mm diameter and is 177 mm long to the roller (after the spacer)
The shaft has a 3mm hole drilled through it for a split pin that stops it from spinning in the mounting bracket, the centre for that is 69 mm from the non-roller end of the shaft.

Thanks Slooby that's great. Is there rollers on the bottom too?
