Known faults on Ford 655 backhoe loaders

I am mulling over buying myself a Ford 655 and was wondering if they suffer from any known faults also are the shuttle transmissions fairly reliable.

Not sure if this really applies but some of the Ford blocks have a reputation of becoming porous.

I have also heard of the block issue. They are spendy to replace the engine here in the States. Other than that they seem to have a good reputation here.
