I'm sure it was at Irvine in Scotland - its not used by Volvo anymore but i think Meritor were building axles there

My dad had both Scammel Routman and Maggie 232's.The Scammels were often broke down.One was an ex Steetley.The Maggies were awesom performance and reliability.He also had a few 6 wheeler AEC's and a leyland Bison I think.
