Hadn't noticed that, looks very much like it - early type non parallel Davis style loader and backactor.
Love to know what's going on there. One bus in the works, police directing traffic behind it, another bus facing it apparently on the wrong side of the road...

Hi all.
The second pic down is only a single track now to Cleethorpes, the level crossing is no longer there. the crossing was replaced with an ugly flyover because of the traffic holdups with the crossing operating so many times per day. With the demise of the fishing industry etc and railway traffic ( 1 train per hour either way to Manchester) I think the ugly flyover was a bit previous but just my opinion. Good pics by the way.
Norm.

Pic 1, 'You're only 'sposed to blow the doors off'!
Pic 3, Red Barrows formation parking.
Pic 4, what traffic is he directing?

Back on topic, to me, the AEC in pic 6 is perfectly framed with just the right amount of lean to suggest power and handling.

Pic 4 Looks like the solitary car, guess he'd have his hands full these days.

I keep looking at that picture, I wonder what colour the first car in the parked line is? It certainly seems to stand out against the others. Also, halfway up the hill on the left, a very modern looking wide low vehicle. Any ideas?
