The two pictures of the Hymac 590 look familier, about 48 -50 years ago they dug out part of the old railway line around East Grinstead the railway ran to Tunbridge Wells! They used part of the track bed and built a road to bypass the town one part of it had a tunnel which they dug out they used Gamble plant from Worthing there was a Hymac 580 and a 590 on that job I spent hours watching them! Towards the end of the job a chap was using an East Park Construction (from Eastbourne) JCB 3C mk2 to grade the bank and he went up a bit to far and rolled the machine over luckily he jumped out and within a couple of days the machine was working again with a second hand cab back on it, They were the days!! keep the pic come they are fantastic :brravo:
