Massey Ferguson Hydraulic Pumps MK I, MK II, MK III --- what's the difference

Post #1 by TomRon » Wed Nov 07, 2012 11:27 am

Hello!

I have to service my hydraulic pump on a MF165. In the internet I found several repair kits for MKI, II and III pumps. All kits would fit to a MKI pump...and sure I would take the MK III kit.
But for my personal interest.... what is the main difference between MKI and MKII, III???

I found out that the MKI pump has a bore of 23mm and the MKii and III pumps have a bore diameter of 25mm... is that all, or are there more differences?

The reason why I am questioning this is because the same pump I guess MKIII is on my MF590 which should have 26L/min (datasheet - value is not for auxiliary hydraulic pump) whereas the MF165 has 14L/min (datasheet)

maybe someone could help with specific knowledge

best regards
Tom
