Had a play with the D2 yesterday,had not run it for a while.Cleaned up the mag points and she fired second pull, followed by the diesel two minuted later.
This machine was built August 1938.See photo of delivery note Would like to give it a workout at the end of the year.She will be joined by the TD6 in a little while.The last workout she had was pulling a large roller on the steep grades at a local working day.

Thanks for posting, D2 looks great. The flowers look good too. Brilliant rstoration.
Bet the new ones wont look and run like that when they are 70+ years old.

Hope to be back in work in a couple of weeks. The TD6 will have to wait a bit longer.I was down Barrys place on Tuesday sorting out decals for the Cat D4D dozer.Hope to meet up with you again soon.

Ps just noticed,the machine parked to my D2 photo taken at Groes Faen rally in 1998 is the TD6
you can just make out the tracks in the photo.

It looks fantastic Clive,the U series D2's are thought to be the best small crawlers around.I used to have a D2 5J, now it resides in Gwent.It came from the well reported sale in Scotland a few years ago.

Thanks for the seal of approval Martyn. The 2 is coming up nice. I've got the proper exhaust for it now and there are just a few odd jobs to do. Do you know where I could find a three furrow crawler plough for it of a hyster winch, then I get some constructive playtime!

If you can find out about the plough that'll be great. Ideally I'd like a three furrow Ransomes RSLM trailer plough. Something I can just go and use would be favouite but even if it needs work I'll consider it. Thanks Martyn.
