Hi Martyn and Clive,

Thanks for your replies. I've been away, hence the slow reply.

My local guy in Finning was very helpful and suggested I contact another local owner for good contacts. He also said that he could help with anything if I wanted. Anyway the other owner suggested KEP Services for parts, and they're pricing stuff for me now and so far couldn't be more helpful.

I really want a service manual but everything on the web is from the states and I'd hate to order the wrong one. Its not obvious which the correct one is as they list a couple for engine service manuals (loosely calling one 'for early D2's). Have you any advice?

By the way, mines a 5J3501+ it also has a S stamped after the number whatever that means.

It means that it has some modifications at some time,it usually reads S P after the number.I have, in the past got my manualls from the USA via Ebay.Never had a problem and use Paypal.

My first ploughing match and in the RAIN! For the first time out I'm pleased, though there'd be no doubt I'd be last! Got the lorry stuck on the way in and had to de-mount the 2 to pull it out, and needed a pull to get out from a tractor....most frustrating but I suppose I'll have to get used to it taking up an autumn hobby!

Hi,

Thought I'd update you on progress,

I've joined the link club, got most of my missing bits, bought classic oil, rad flush and service manuals and been to see another well running machine so I'm all ready to start.

Does anyone know where I could find a picture of a D2 with a leverton tool bar (or whatever the correct description is)

Mine has the mounts on the undercarridge, the cam drive and the top arms but is missing the main arms. However I think I have found them in the nettles!

I've tried googling it but no success and I'd like to see what its meant to look like.

I've added a couple of photo's which aren't the best I'm afraid. The machine is in better condition than it looks and I also have all the missing bodywork.
