I'm still not sure I really grasp the 'oily' finish on the Major as it's exactly what the 550 looked like Thursday night and took hours to remove. The light fitting certainly gave it some character.
The weather was f****reezing. If you could get out of the wind it was ok, but I had a fleece with a heavy coat over the top and was still cold, didn't take it off all day. As an aside, nearly half way through May and I had frost on the car this morning!
The Massey line up was mostly chance, they all turned up at different times. I was at the other end of the line and someone suggested shuffling about so we did - worked well.

Mate had an E Type years ago and thought it was pretty good until an escort showed him the way. the escort had V 6 in it.

It's been made clear in the past that I shouldn't be left unsupervised. Remember these pins I fitted under the cab?


I found a piece of old irrigation pipe.


Cut to length, flattend the end, and drilled a couple of holes...


Carries 3 marker poles and 2 board scrapers.


Replace the upper fitting with a short strap, and all removable in under a minute. I'll probably shorten it a little to match the windscreen ledge but the concept works.
