MF135 Headlights

Post #1 by gecko.cx » Tue May 12, 2026 9:57 am

Hi all, decided it was time for new headlights on my MF135. Not that I need them often, but the old ones were looking well past it.

Ordered some lamps/shrouds from fleabay and was surprised when they arrived with no bulbs. Not a big problem (I thought), I wanted to put LED's in anyway. What I didn't count on was that the bulb mount is different to the original and there was no information on what bulb fits.
Just eye-balling it, my best guess is a P45t, but not having a sample, I'm reluctant to buy a set before I'm confident they will fit.

Anyone tried these reproduction headlights?

My only suggestion would be to measure the inside diameter of the hole in the new light lens where the bulb is going to fit, using a digital vernier, then ask the bulb seller what the diameter of the new bulbs is? Also enquire about the location notches.

Best place for led lights is a christmas tree.
The future's bright.. Bright red and grey that is.

I understand what you mean - most LED replacements bulbs do not put the lamp in the focal point of the reflector and so they just spray light in all directions (no cut-off on low beam) and very unpleasant for oncoming traffic.
In this case, it doesn't matter as it doesn't spend any time on-road.
The only time i need lights is taking the bins out (1km driveway).
In this case (so long as they put out enough light), LED's will be perfect.

I have to move my tractor to get the bins out - all of 20ft!
