Re: New toy
Managed to borrow a bit of ground to do some practice on.
Although not straight I did eventually get some repeatable results which I'm reasonably happy with - just got to be able make it all work with an audience on Sunday.

Re: New toy
Just got this to add to the toybox.

Not sure why really but no doubt I'll find a use for it. If you look carefully along the spine it says Massey Ferguson, not just Ferguson, so a later build but date unknown. All free and fully functional with some nicely done strengthening on the A frame.
Bring on the snow!

Re: New toy
Now, I'm all up for a project, and the scraper needed almost nothing done to it except re-threading the scarifier locking bolt - all done.

While I was doing that, my mate disappeared into the woods with the forklift and came back with this little gem of a challenge.

It is/was a Ransomes TS54 perhaps? All working surfaces rusted, both share wings broken, all moving parts except the disc bearings seized solid, all adjustment bolts solid, both spine rails bent, cross shaft adjuster solid and bent, cross shaft solid, no1 board stay and mounting bent.
An hour with the oxy had the disc slip collars, cross shaft and cs adjuster free. The biggest game will be the crooked board but still on day 1 at the moment so 349 before the next match.

Re: New toy
Quite pleased with progress. Spine is now very nearly straight, boards lined up ok, cs adjuster straight, all clamp bolts free and workable, just missing a polish an some fresh ground to try it on.

Re: New toy
Rummaging for something today and found an old rear light from a Cub moped - light bulb moment (literally!).

Bolt to a heavy duty tarp clip and add a cable...

A stop/tail/reflector unit to go on the end of a plough.

Not absolutely ideal but better than nothing.

Re: New toy
This weeks outing wasn't one to repeat regularly, as part of a 30 tractor funeral escort.
