Lets have a review of who has lost the most by the start of June so somebody please remind me or one of the other moderators by June 1st this year and a CMN slimmer of the year will be announced.
Jeremy
Here's my update then
My original quest was to reduce my blood pressure which I achieved by diet and a bit of cycling.
My target was to get to 18 stone but after 6 months I've called it a day hovering between 16 and 16 1/2 stone a reduction of almost 6 stone from my start weight.
Start weight 21.11 Stone. Now at 16.4 Stone (03/06/14)
Waist Start. 48''. Waist Now 40''
Chest Start. 52''. Chest Now 46''
Neck Start. 21'' Neck Now. 17''
Downsides are...........
Complete new wardrobe. Old work trousers ended up looking like Clowns trousers
People think you have some terrible/ terminal illness
Now need an operation on a hernia I've had since 2007 as there's no fat to support it. and it's given me more gyp in the last 6 months than the last 6 years put together
Now on the waiting list
Upsides are.............
Feel much fitter - legs don't ache like they used too - really enjoy cycling as I'm just near the Kennet & Avon Canal and it's many cycle ways.
Buy clothes from nearly anywhere and cheaper than the old XXXXL sizes.
Can now see an old friend without having to look in the mirror
It's safe to say I'm almost half the man I used to be. Just got to adjust my Calories now to keep the weight on an even keel.
Just needs a bit of willpower chaps - You can do it

Re: My new ride
Well done Steve good for you; I think the upside of losing weight definitely beats the downside, so do we have any other 'slimmer of the year' awards to consider?
