Met the Duke of Edinburgh back in '90 in Buck House picking up my city & guilds award for Ag. Eng.

yes, was a bit of surprise......in those days life had revolved around our farm and its immediate vicinity down here on the edge of the world, going to Bicton College for a 9 months was like being let off the lead - and on the OTHER side of Exeter!!!...had to get a map to find the place.
So going to London on the train for this shin-dig was in itself a journey and a half, in fact that was the last time I ventured right in to the capital.....Heathrow airport is the closest I get nowadays.
