Hi,
I'm looking to identify a dumper I just bought, ID plate has been painted over, but stamped details as follows:
G8 - U03 - 3567
330-53
1250 KG
940 KGS
Also chassis plate is U03-356 which matches above.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Re: Identifying dumper
I'd say a Liner Roughrider 1250 ( distinctive curve to front chassis) as seen in this advert on left.

Re: Identifying dumper
Have a look under Muir Hill dumpers, your photo seems to be of one of the type I had in Osnabruck No backrest on the seat, square back to the skip unlike the countoured Liner one and the skinny little back wheels just like the front wheels of a standard Fordson tractor.

PS in cleaning down I would not be surprised if some part that had missed being repainted shows up in dark bronze green Army paint!

You've cracked it. Looks like the chassis is bent if it were not for the brochure.
Re: Identifying dumper
The seal on one of the axles has gone and is leaking oil into the brake drum. Could anyone advise on what an equivalent axle would be with regards to getting replacement seals?
Also collecting parts to convert to electric start so should be interesting project.
Many thanks

Re: Identifying dumper
Well I'm almost there on electric start, following components used:
Scrap steel for 'dashboard'
Old switch and start button from my Caterham prior to it's dash upgrade
Spare battery I had in garage
50cc motorcycle starter solenoid off ebay (£10)
Dynamo regulator off old MG from ebay (£6)
Old amp gauge off ebay (£6)
Dynastarter (or starter/generator in the US) off ebay for £80 - OEM for a petrol golf cart
Getting some pulleys sorted currently to drive crankshaft.
Have built the dash which contains the switches/wiring etc to run the dynastarter, getting any sort of manual for these is practically impossible, so lot of guesswork on the wiring and my components arn't exactly matched, more what I could easily get cheaply as this is supposed to be a budget solution ;->
Still, Dynastarter runs as motor fine, will be wiring up amp gauge tonight and testing to make sure it generates ok and then will look to mount it all next week.
