Winget Four / 40e - Tub design

Post #1 by reuby_tuesday » Sun Apr 05, 2026 7:30 am

Hi Folks

I have since identified my dumper that I inherited from my father as a Winget Four 40e.
It at some point had the tub removed and a FEL from something blue (im guessing a fordson) grafted onto it.
Im planning to remove the FEL and reinstall the original tub - unfortunately I dont have that in my possession.
When the tub was removed, they took the original cylinders, and brackets off as well.

After contacting Winget in the UK, who were pretty helpful, overall, but these are old enough that they had very limited info and knowledge, outside of the manuals they have available. I do have some seals and brake parts on their way, that they could help with.

As part of the rebuild, Ill be trying to seal up as many leaks as possible, with all the axles leaking out to the wheel ends, and the diffs leaking past the seals at the propshafts. Hopefully, I can get replacement seals for them. Im terrified that if I try to get them out, ill damage them, and I wont be able to get replacements from my local seal and bearing place. Unfortunately, I cant measure them until i get them out, by which time they could be damaged beyond reuse.

1 - Would anyone have images or drawings of the tub and bracketry?
or
2 - Would anyone have a tub, cylinders and brackets lying about, prefer usable condition, but any condition so that i can make a copy.
or
3 - Would someone be able to take a bunch of photos of a tub, so that i can feed that into AI and get it to make a design for me as close as possible to the original design.
4 - Would anyone happen to have generic part numbers for the seals for the Newage 5HA axle seals.

thanks
