Hi,
I have recently purchased a dumper for help with a self build. It requires a good bit of tidying up which I’m doing slowly but I’d like to know what the dumper is.
I thought it was a Winget then a thwaites but both manufacturers have said it’s not theirs. It has a lister 3 cylinder engine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Dumper Identification
Hi and welcome
somebody here should be able to point you in the right direction, I take it the first photo is of the emblem on the steering wheel? That emblem looks very much like the old British Leyland emblem but I don't think they made any dumpers? There is thread on dumpers in general, it would take some wading through but you may get your answer there too.

Re: Dumper Identification
There were quite a few British marques of dumpers back in the 50s through to the 70s and the layouts changed as time progressed. I would date it to 60s or early 70s. It is pivot steer, the early 60s 4wd dumpers tended to have a steering axle. The driver position is off set and by the end of the 70s most were central on the 4 WD machines. It might be an early Liner 4wd?

I'd say the steering wheel is from an Ital 440 or 575 van.

Thanks for the reply guys.
Yes it has pivot steer and the engine is dated 1971.
I found the emblem in the box under the seat, which has been replaced so there has been some ‘modernisation’ over the years.
