Today I visited the 2024 Chipping Steam Fair, this superb event always offers something new to be seen, naturally I spend most of my time in the plant working field and a big thanks goes to Geoffrey Slater who organizes the plant working field. There is a wide variety of different things for all the family to see so if you are free on a Whitsun holiday weekend then I can give this event the thumbs up.
I will post photos in more than one hit, first here is a link to one of the stars of the plant working field, Richard Hurts nicely restored Hitachi UHO62

The first lot of photos shows not one but two Atkinson Venturer dual drive heavy tractor units, the one in the CAMBRO livery is 240 Gardner powered the other by a trusty 14 liter Cummins.

The Bristol 'up and over' loader was something which I had never seen in operation before, I did get some footage of it and will be uploading that to my YouTube channel as soon as time permits.
Good to see CMN member Paul Argent there as well.

Another clip, this time of the Bristol over-loader, must say I am glad that I have seen this for myself as it is a most unusual system although one that was once used with many earlier front loading shovels.

The rocking bucket action is interesting, don't think I'd want to use it for loading dung though...
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
