even managed to meet an old co worker from ilminster bypass days ,we recognised each other straight away although we only managed to call each other mate as it's been 22 years , we had a good chat about people we knew & who'd died since !
was a bit awkward as neither of us volunteered our names to each other & seemed a bit embarrasing to ask

it's an EC210 neil , driven by one of kelstons ye olde timers, from days of yore !
these were taken 19 november i've been back since but was having trouble with the feed blocking up my blower , so didn't see if there were any additions to what was there before apart from one of the MAN 8 leggers making a quick appearance

Did`nt know we had a 210C!!!I know we have a 290C that i had for a few weeks,a 360C that i`ve asked for to replace my ZX350,& a 460C thats on the job i`m on with the 460B.
I really liked to 290C,hence i`ve asked for the 360.I like the volvos,although the 460B i`m on at the mo is a bit old & tired.Its a early 2003 with 10500 hrs.

No not really joe. They say every 5 yrs,but thats not the case. The 460 i`m on at the mo is a 2003 with 10500 hrs..My 350 is coming up to 10000 hrs,& we have some old A20`s.Thats not to say our machines are past it.They are well maintained, its just that a lot of the operators have no respect for them, unlike us few on the firm with our own machines.I`ve told them i`m happy to keep my ZX350 for yrs yet,but they cant justifiy spending £10-20k on new pumps. So it seems to be they replace them when they start costing too much money.
When i started in 2004,we had a lot of 1997 FH machines,so our fleet is now more modern.
On another note,i had a drive today of the Volvo EC460CL,VERY NICE  :D .Did`nt want to get back in my 460B  .I keep asking for the EC360CL to replace mine, but all i know is its being sold some time in the new year. :)

We have 2 of them.I posted some pics of 1 on here a few months ago(might be this one). Not sure if they are converted dumpers,or dedicated fuel tankers.I used to drive one of them on & off on a large ongoing job when i first started with the firm.I was on a 1994 A20 att the time which was a bone shaker.I could go flat out across the site in the tanker,it was a very smooth ride. Its only a 6x4 though,so you dont want the site too sticky.Has a large columb gear change to the left of the steering wheel,& a large mechanical PTO lever in the cab for the fuel pump. :)
