Ecology Lagoon

Post #1 by Nick Drew » Sat Oct 06, 2007 6:28 pm

Hi All,

Well I just thought I would post some shots of a job I was working on last year during the construction of the A30 improvement works.
The job involved digging out to form ecology lagoons to help promote wildlife after the road was constructed, I personally dug about 10 of these lagoons of various shapes & sizes.

It was a very interesting job to be involved in and indeed quite satisfying to see the end results

Hi Bo,

Well it all depended on how big each lagoon was :?:

The lagoon in the picture took about 3 days to cut out and load away onto a Volvo A25D truck.

It was a nice steady job, and an enjoyable one also, I was also very fortunate to have a great banksman with me for these jobs

Ok. Thought it was something like that. I used the term "footpeople" somewhere here on CMN. Now I know what term to use.

Hi Nick, Hi Robban:
This is indeed an interesting site. Here we are, coming from three different nations, trying to understand one another and discuss our similarities (love of machinery). I hope we all keep asking for definitions of unfamiliar terms so that we can gain a greater understanding of each other.
