a tricycle forklift.

this is a little different than the Letourneau. Locally made in Portland, OR about 30 to 40 years ago, a fair number of these live on. they were made in several sizes, this being about a 60,000 lb model. they are typically Cummins powered with an allison automatic transmission and converter. These were made by FWD Wagner. One surviving branch of the company still made underground mining front end loaders. --a specialized low profile front endloader for working in underground mine shafts.

RVanatta:
I have admired your website for years. I am a heavy equipment fanatic and the info on your site is as good as it gets.
This lift is very interesting. It looks very well balanced and although I initially questioned the wisdom of the tricycle setup, I realized that it makes the machine much more maneuverable.
Swishy:
Your animations are awesome! Have you ever considered doing a feature length animation?
I once did an animation the old fashioned way, I used an 8mm film camera and made a chess set do a square dance. It took forever because I had to move each piece just a tiny bit and then shoot the frame. It took me all weekend to do a three minute animation.
