Spent a couple of hours up at the Shotton site today, i managed to get some nice shots of the D8L and the scrapers unloading and some nice 740's as well
I made the school boy error of not checking my camera bag and assumed i had my digi camera already in, i managed to get a roll of film used up which i am hoping to get developed tomorrow, i will get a couple of scraper photos posted soon, i'll start a new thread with them so watch this space!
I noticed there were a couple of excavators in the distance and presumed one was you in the 320 rob, i was going to wander down and get some pics of the Colton 345C but it was too hot to trudge all the way down there!
Yes i was a little shocked to say the least when i heard i was being made redundant on friday. I am a building surveyor by trade but always longed to work in mining or quarrying, fingers crossed something will crop up soon, in the meantime i can enjoy the sunshine and visit sites with my camera
I know Seaton Carew quite well, its a nice stroll along the beach on a sunday afternoon and is an excellent cure for hayfever! I also lived about 5-6 miles from Trimdon in a town called Ferryhill and also West Cornforth.
Will drop a line on here Rob the next time i am visiting Shotton!
