D8K and 435G at Golf course

Post #1 by nick lamb » Sat Jul 12, 2008 7:51 pm

This is a D8K and 435G belonging to Grundy+Co of Widnes area. It's been working on a tip near Fiddlers Ferry power station in Warrington for the last 6 years or so.It was purchased from Kevin Morgan (Morshan of Wigan). It underwent a minor engine overhaul during 2002 where I sold the fitter who was doing the job a camshaft.Thankfully it has been ok since then as far as I know.I don't know who they got the box from.It has 28'' pads on and is ready for a new u/c.Other than that it appears in ok condition. The blade is in top order and looks like it has been overhauled receantly.

Hi Nicky, looks a tidy and straight tractor, but i would be
surprised if the engine gets enough air through that D5 or
D6 mushroom

My eyes set on storks, peeping at that fun air set-up??? the top rollers could do with a bit of iron packing under the mountings, other than that it looks in not to bad fettle, the little Box needs parking up for a D7 to hitch to, D8k's need a 463 stuffing on the draw bar.
