I think it may be a Thwaites Tusker dumper, rated at 1.5 tons. It has a 5 stud steering axle and 2 cylinder where as the smaller Nimbus and Orion had single cylinder.

If you think it might not be the original engine and replaced something older then the dumper may be a bit older than I first thought.

If you look online, there are various manuals available, but I think original Ford manuals will be expensive. That model was quite rare in the UK (I think). I think the 79 was a down rated 82 more or less.

I assume the models you quote were related to carrying capacity. Yours has six stud wheels with quite substantial tyres which, to me at least, suggests 2.5 ton upwards.
