I think the engine is a Petter PJ3, of which I know zero!

I think it is a Thwaites, possibly 4 ton, from the mid 70s to early 80s. The rectangular diesel and hydraulic tanks either side and the steering shroud looks Thwaites to me. Dry outboard brakes dates it to the period suggested above.

Hi all. I have an 84 3CX, the operating lever to the valve is a steel tube with a rod going through it and an offset in the end going into the valve. It was seized solid when I got the machine. Un seized the mechanism but the offset piece to the valve seems to fit a slot in the valve. I had the top...

The 141C looks a lot more modern than my ''same age'' JCB 814S. How old was the design at that point?

What would the Ergo weigh if cubed out with spoil? I'm guessing it's opencast coal? Any ideas what the pickup is in the last pic?
