Finally got the old Gardner running the other day!
Next task is to get the digging lock working. And after that, who knows? Hopefully everything else will work just fine!

Re: Drag line
Looks like one of the older Class-type draglines made by Bucyrus-Erie. Don´t know what size it might be, but seems smaller than the Class24?
Sure thing an interesting find!

Good evning! My name is Anders and I am a 35 year old marine engineer. When I am not trying to introduce my kids to the wonderful world of old shovels you might find me behind my camera acting as gravel pit paparazzi or tracking down some old piece of machinery. One of my other interests is playing ...

A 10-RBT(license built in Sweden by the firm Tornborg&Lundberg) was shown this summer with the Skimmer attachment. Certainly very fascinating to watch! http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/post_img/104668_1554267527564e3b0a20705.jpg Original URL: http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff65/k...

Re: Akerman Excavators
Thank you very much Jeremy! :D I have had this sick and twisted urge to collect mostly everything that I could when it comes to ropeshovels  These two pictures were taken at the Skyttorp machinery museum in Sweden last summer. About a dozen different shovels and bulldozers were driven durin...

Re: Smith Rodley 21 the resurrection.
The engine moves very smoothly actually, so it shouldn´t be any more trouble ;) According to the former owners wife, it has a beautiful sound, and she told me last time I was there to work with the injection pump that she is really looking forward to hear it again :D Our goal is to have it moved hom...

Another 475, this one with the hydraulic dipper tilt being shown at a machinery exhibit in Stockholm about 1997. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/post_img/104660_1512028465564e3b3795dc9.jpg Original URL: http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff65/kottenE/img016.jpg The first ropeshovel made...
