Some engines on e bay. What is wrong with your engine? You might get away with parts.

Re: 3CX rams and seals.

Not familiar with 3cx rams but I have worked on jcb 525/58 rams. The big nuts just screw out. They were not very tight or maybe I was lucky. There were no locking screws. Hopefully 3cx rams are exactly the same. Don't know about the row of punch marks.

Re: JCB 3D2...

Hi Vesa. Brakes were probably the weakest part of what is a good work horse. You can inspect the brake linkages from underneath the machine. They might be seized. The pedals might also be seized on the cross shaft. The easiest way to get to the brake housings is to lift out the seat then lift the fl...

Re: Looking at a 3C mk3 this weekend. Any advice !!

Worked on the brakes of my 3c111 earlier this year. I thought the discs were worn away but after getting them dismantled they were still ok. All the linkages were seized and needed freed. I tried to price discs from jcb but were really expensive. The discs were going to cost £120 each. There is a fi...

Re: JCB 3C III popping out of gear inside trans?

Worked on a jcb telehandler that needed to be run for about 20 minutes before it would move in any direction. The torque was removed and was reconditioned. That cured the problem. Not sure whether this is common across the board. Someone who has more experience of torques might have a different diag...

Re: 1983 JCB3CX slew speed problem

Had this problem on an old MK1 3c. From memory there was a problem with a relief valve. Might only be a piece of dirt lodged in the relief valve not allowing it to seat properly.
