Oh, what is that last one?

The last photo is of Chaseside loader,but i am not sure which model or powerpack.These machines have already got a thread in this section so maybe an expert/fan can give us info.It is in quite good condition for it's age and would make a good project for someone.

I reckon she is a BL700 based on Fordson Major skid.

LM (Load Master 700) the updated version of Chaseside's first hydraulic shovel. With the front grill that may be the torque convertor model which just might be why it looks as though it has stood for many years.

Essexpete can you tell us what the production run of this model was or give an approximate age for this machine?

Hi I not absolutely sure but I think the LM 500 was introduced in 1955 based on the New Major skid. The LM 700 in 1958 was an updated model with improved bucket control/self leveling/roll back angle it was also based on the slightly uprated Power Major. Most of the 700s had power steering and from possibly 1958/59 a torque convertor option was available. This was, I believe a Brockhouse unit which was 2 fwd/1 rev which operated with epicyclics and brake bands. By the late 1970s (possibly earlier) parts were unobtainable for these transmissions. The Load Masters were superseded by a much different and updated Super Loadmaster range from 1962.

I would put the machine in the photos at between 1959 and 62.

Thanks very much for this background information as it is nice to hear from the people who know.Very many moons ago when i was a young lad i remember one of the machines lying at a local farm and for some reason always found them interesting.
