The Clayton Buggy was developed by Eric and son Ian Clayton, i used to work on the farm during harvest many years ago, the prototype was based on dumper axles and a Diahatsu fortrack engine gearbox and transfer box and is now owned by a nearby farmer.
Apparantly JCB showed much interest in the Buggi, this was just before they developed the Fastrac

On the website I came across a 2002 article from Quarry Management Journal about the Multidrive M8-35 on trial at Kier Mining's Gasswater OCC'S.

Also the old Multidrive website is still live at I've managed to download the brochure for the M8-40
