Hi All, We have a 2 ton truck, model DAQ 2.0 616, serial no. 616 0116. Its the one with the perkins engine mated to a torque converter with clear view mast. Does anyone know of the correct type of gas struts needed to assist with lifting the very heavy engine cover?
Any help please
Cheers Jim.

Jim if you have an old strut for the size then you should be able to find a gas strut manufacturer on the internet; I needed to change the two that supported the tailgate on my old motor but was damned if I was going to pay the £99ea that the main dealer wanted so I went online and got two new one's for around £12 for the pair not bad eh!
