Rubber Boots for Gearstick and Backhoe Controls

Post #1 by mikefoxo » Sat Aug 09, 2014 7:36 pm

The boots on my Dads machine are slowly disintegrating and I'd like to get some new ones to keep the dirt away. Had a quick look on eBay and came up with nothing. Does anyone know where I can get some and what sort of price I'd have to pay? Cheers

You'll get the gear lever boots on ebay for Leyland tractors.Should be the same,I think. Or here,http://www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/
or http://www.charnleys.com/
Don't know where for the lever boots though.

The transmission lever gaitor is part number ATJ7376 and I bought mine from Charnleys and its only about £10. The excavator lever boots are expensive from JCB but I do have some new spares if you still need them

Thanks for the offer Steelfab but I still have quite a bit of muck to shift inside the cab first! Just last week I cleaned out about 6in of soil, hay, hydraulic oil and two coats from the rear footwell

That sounds familiar as I had an archeological dig in my 3C when I first got it and found all sorts in the footwell including an old council time keeping book from the early 1980's who used to own it. Also the fan guards which had been trodden flat
