Large Crawler Crane ?
Driving down the M1 recently, I noticed what appears to be a large crawler crane with luffing jib at Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station. The jib towers above the cooling towers and is not far short off the height of the main chimney. Anyone know what make and model it is Ian

Yes, it's the PTR, it is going to be there for a while. I'm having a site visit there next year.

yeh its the Mammoet PTR......100m of main boom! Ainscough had an LR1300 or was it a LR1600 in there last year too! Ive been meaning to try and get some pics of it before it leaves!

Ah right.....i havent been past since i was travelling down that way to a job in Hinckley in the middle of last year! cheers pal! Does weldex still have some kit on Donnington Services?
