Redcar Sea Wall Flood Defences Progress Photos

Birse are starting a new £30m sea defence scheme at Redcar , intend to photo this as it progresses (work permitting :) roll on the light nights !)
Just setting up compound at the moment -

do you know what exactly are they doing with the holes?


Building sand castles :lol: no they are trial holes Sam, they are dug to see what the ground is like a few metres down, they take soil samples away and test the samples to see what foundations are needed

I have a feeling you will see quite a few of the Redcar fishermans fleet of forty+ Fordson Majors as this job progresses. You can see one launching a boat in the background of first video.
