Re: cat 345 front shoval
Hi Ruston Bucyrus!
I am almost sure 345CL is offered in a Front Shovel configuration. Machines as small as the 325 have been offered in FS configuration in the past.
I think FS are offered from the 325 up to the 385.
Anyone having more/correct info and/or pictures?

Re: cat 345 front shoval
I personally have never seen a 345CL FS, Have one ever seen the Coal Shovels that are normally 325's and then the larger face shovels that are 365 and 385!

Re: cat 345 front shoval
I have never seen a Caterpillar 345 offered with front shovel attachment directly since the 345B. This is not my photo, and I do not know who to credit it to.

I do find it interesting that the 345 does not incorporate the "equalization" cylinder attached to the boom. Perhaps it was Cat commisioning an outside source for the shovel front?
If a front shovel arrangement was available on the "C" or "D" iterations, I am not aware of it. I would love to be educated in this respect.
