JCB identity

Post #1 by agrimax » Wed May 05, 2010 10:17 pm

Sorry I have no pictures but have been wondering what model of JCB someone has not that far from me.Cab looks like a MK11,it has a 3D back actor and the headlight holes in the grill are round as are the top cab lights.Nearly sure the front grill slopes back but could be wrong.Mudguards are different shape to the usual 3C11 as well. The round holes and shape of the mudguards have thrown me as I thought it could have been a 3D11.Meant to get a picture but as usual the camera was not to hand and of course the machine has gone now after sitting for months!!No doubt there will be a picture on here somewhere too.

If so Robin, you saw a JCB3Dmk1 ... pretty rare to see today, the cab was fibra glass, but it was used also as the test machine for the main frame of the MK2's

Thanks Martin. That's the one.Thought the mudguards were different.Unfortunate that I didn't get a picture before it was moved.
