Been trying to get hold of photographs of machines used by this company. They used to run a lot of 22RB's and hired them to the NCB.
Any photos or info out there?
Thanks
Martyn

Re: SHORT BROTHERS PLANT HIRWAUN,ABERDARE
I have a book:
'L.C.L. Lewis Heavy Haulage' by Paul Heaton
1996 (First Ed.) ISBN 1 872006 13 2
Published by P.M. Heaton Publishing , Abergavenny, Gwent
that contains many photos of Plant & machinery hauled by L.C.L Lewis Heavy Haulage mainly in and around South Wales. The book starts with Lewyn Lewis's early career as a plant operator and contains photos of various loads his firm has moved including many, many loads for Short.Bros inc. RB cranes/draglines, scrapers, dumptrucks (inc Kockums) and various excavators, screens etc upto the mid 90's.
If you haven't got a copy and can get hold of one, I'd recommend you do so.
Hope this is of some help.
