Post #1 by Mike d550 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:47 pm

I've heared Viridor have some cat 725's fitted with waste handling bodies working in the UK :D

Does anyone know where abouts they are working and does anyone have any photos of them?

Would appreciate any info on the above!

They were up Bonnie Scotland mate, think they are 730's.
Severn Waste run some 735 stretched chassis with hook lifts on at Throckmorton.
I've got 4 725 stretched chassis with ISO container frames on them! see pics.

Great pics SRB thanks for posting, has finning modified these trucks prior to them going to site?
It looks a little soft underfoot, i would not like to be an ADT operator driving over rubbish, seems to be asking for trouble :o Would have thought they might use wide profile tires like on the Ejector models?

Am sure there is a outfit in the UK which make rubbish skips for Cat ADT's, basically a larger volume skip with the scissor tailgate!

they look like some smart pieces of kit. ideal for that work. beats having a road hook loader getting stuck on the way in and out of landfill sites.
cheers. si25

A company called Paterson's of Greenoakhill, based in Glasgow have a couple of CAT 700 series trucks with waste handling bodies. http://www.patersonsquarries.co.uk/home They are using them at their Mount Vernon landfill site.
