Hi,
does someone know about a CAT 996 wheelloader in the US?
There is a rumor about one CAT 996 in a coalmine.
When looking on the 992 and 994, a 996 should be in LeTourneau L-2350-class.

Re: CAT 996?
996 on the drawing board. Electric drive. I wouldnt hold my breath on this one yet (hope they produce it!!)
Until they get the electric 795's to run a shift then we wont see a 996 anytime soon. They would probably Base it on the 793AC but it's been put on the back burner.

Re: CAT 996?
Cat never give larger development machines a nomenclature description (model number) when in development. eg when the 797 was in development it was designated 7XX. If you are a dealer employee with CWS password you can find stuff on larger than 994 loaders, if it happens who knows.
If it was around it would be closely guarded at TPG i would think and not in a customers mine.
Meanwhile we just recieved the first 993K in new south wales yesterday and it looks a beast, will get some pics soon.
