After getting wind of the 245 on Friday i made my excuse to do a site visit and popped up to see if the 245 was working!
Sadly the job has been put on stop and the building may not come down at all now :( Speaking to a guy on site he said the 245 would only reach the 5th floor and a larger machine would be required if the building was to come down, looks like the 245 would reach the top no problem :D

Sadly it was parked up when i was there but still got a photo.

If anyone hears about it or a larger excavator coming back in the future please drop a note on the forum as there are a few guys in the N.East who would like to get a photo if this in action!!!!!

Regards

Wouldn´t it be smart to check if the reach is enough before establishing the machine on the site?
Or is it just me being more cautious than necessary? :dizzy:
But that machine should reach higher than 5 floors, shouldn´t it?
5 floors would be about 15 m maximum?

I would almost reach that high with my EC35 if would walk on tiptoe with it.

Ha ha Yeh already seen that mate !!

Most of the 300 series machines are as far as I am aware are made by Mitsubishi where as the 200 series were 100 per cent Cat built
