Fowell Roller
George Fowell also made a 1 ton Roller. Thankfully I am now the proud owner of two of them. Anyone out there have one, or an owners / parts manual

Re: Fowell Dupmer
What a little gem it is. We call this size roller a foot path roller just on it's size width wise and total weight. Usually around 3' wide front and rear rollers. This one looks to have a very wide front roller/s and narrow rear.
I do like it a lot. Thanks for posting the image.

Re: Fowell Dupmer
Cobbadog there were quite a few small rollers made by different manufacturers some of which were used for rolling grass on game playing venues, here's a little 'Greens' roller that I cam across in a scrap yard.

Re: Fowell Roller
I have a Fowell roller undergoing a full restoration, similar ones (2) used to the roll the tennis courts at Wimbledon. If any one is interested will post photos when its finished. Mine is going back to the original colour (orange), apparently (but not confirmed) was built for Balfour Beatty.

Re: Fowell Roller
Seconded, just being watching lots of old construction films on net and seen quite a few GF dumpers ,more popular than I thought.

Re: Fowell Roller
That is great, we all want to see your roller.
A mate of mine has a footpath roller and runs an all alloy Royal Enfield 2 cylinder diesel in it.
( sorry to mention another breed of engine (: )
