Bob when I said get new bits made I wasn't thinking of OEM parts but ones made by a local engineering company that have the skill to gear cut? I will have a look and see if I can find any forklift truck breakers there must be at least one around somewhere.

Jeremy, 3J,s in the UK would do quote, but they need a sample or tec. drawings. i have had gears manufactured here for over head crane,s and such. typically the cost of a one off is 80% of the cost of a small run. this sucks, the truck is in great shape and runs strong. i guess i can let it sit a bit more before sending it to the scrap hopper. if i could find a breaker that had older trucks that would probably be my best bet . made a few inquiries today in UK . hopefully something will come up. thanks for you time. bob bock

Bob I don't know how many you have contacted but I have had a quick browse; http://www.forktruckbreakers.com/about.html and will see what other links I can find for you. Another one to try sales@thepartscentre.co.uk and another one http://www.lsforklifts.com/
