The Clayton Buggy was developed by http://www.eaclayton.com/ Eric and son Ian Clayton, i used to work on the farm during harvest many years ago, the prototype was based on dumper axles and a Diahatsu fortrack engine gearbox and transfer box and is now owned by a nearby farmer.
Apparantly JCB showed much interest in the Buggi, this was just before they developed the Fastrac

On the Agg-net.com website I came across a 2002 article from Quarry Management Journal about the Multidrive M8-35 on trial at Kier Mining's Gasswater OCC'S.

http://www.agg-net.com/case-study/multidrive-m8-35-on-trial

Also the old Multidrive website is still live at http://www.multidrivevehicles.com/ I've managed to download the brochure for the M8-40

Thanks IBH

Think the M8 article is a reprint of one we saw before.
But that Multidrive web sites a different version from before from what i remember but it has a date of 2006 so not 100 % sure.

here was the multidrive tractors one http://www.multidrivetractors.co.uk/index.html

The multidrive.co.uk domain name is still parked / for sale by the looks
