That's a Barber Greene 44C trencher.
There was one in the yard, (retired), when I started work for The Cardiff Plant Group in the 1960s

Just an edit to say numbers of these 44Cs were built in the UK in the 1950s by Rubery Owen and powered by Meadows engines.

:claphands: Yes indeed he has seen it before a 590 in Malta if memory serves me correctly still a great photo of a Hymac model that appears to 'hide away' so as to speak. :thumbup:
