Julian Carder has the sales records for all JCB's. By my rough reckoning, its a 1978. Its the last of the 10 speed or Build 3 torque era.

William I think you are not too far off with your reckoning. The machine has a 10 speed box. It has also got the newer shaped rear levers and it has a v reg.
